美國 Apple 公司宣布在 iPadOS 15 中系統，能夠直接在 Swift Playgrounds 應用中的 iPad 上打造 iPhone 和 iPad App 應用，並直接將 App 上傳至 App Store，讓任何人都能創造 App 並與全世界分享。
蘋果首次允許用戶在 iPad 上開發適用於 iPhone 和 iPad 的 App 應用程式，開發 App 時程式碼會呈現在即時預覽中，使用者可利用全螢幕來測試 App 運作。使用 Swift 套件建立的全新開放專案格式可於 iPad 的 Swift Playgrounds 和 Mac 的 Xcode 中開啟和編輯，為使用者提供更多功能來開發 iPad 和 Mac 的跨裝置 App。
Swift Playgrounds 是學習程式編碼最好且最簡單的方式，在 iPadOS 15 中，Swift Playgrounds 能夠使用 Swift UI 創建 iPhone 和 iPad 應用程式。Swift Playgrounds 應用程式項目包也可以在 Mac 上的 Xcode 中打開和編輯，讓用戶可以選擇在 iPad 和 Mac 上開發應用程式。
